The 'Middles' Post Office is located in the Village Hall. It was opened by CDT in response to demand from local residents following the closure of both the Craghead and Middles former Post Offices in 2004. Based where it is, it forms a hub at the centre of the community complementing the other facilities available in the Village Hall, the shops over the road and the Health Centre next door.

Following the 2008 consultation on Post Office closures, it was decided the the Middles office would remain open. A transaction free ATM was installed in November 2008 and has been a great asset to the people of the village and passers by.
